Al Newell is founder of Newell & Associates, a volunteer management consulting ministry. For over 20 years, Al has specialized in starting and developing volunteer ministries in churches and Christian organizations. Al was founder and director of Compassion International's National Volunteer Network. He partners with such organizations as Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christams Child.
Al is a graduate and former adjunct professor of Denver Seminary. Al is joined by Dina Parris, Becky Coleman, Dave Newell, Ruth Mott, and other members of the Newell & Associates team. Newell & Associates clientele includes both local and international Christian ministries, as well as large and small churches throughout the world.

January 12-14 Course held in Orlando, FL
ECVMD 1, January 12-14, Orlando, Lake Buena Vista Resort, an official Disney hotel.
The Lake Buena Vista Resort/ Best Western, an official Disney hotel is conveniently located right off I-4 (Exit 68) on the edge of Disney property, a ten-fifteen minute walk from Downtown Disney. A five minute-walk to the Crossroads outdoor mall offers you several eating options, Chevy's, TGIFriday's, McDonalds, Taco Bell and what looks like a great ice cream place! Also, a Goodings Grocery store, Hallmark, and a Shoe store are a part of the complex. Shuttles to Disney theme parks leave every 30 minutes from the hotel lobby. The hotel offers a very good $10 breakfast buffet ($12 w/forced gratuity.)
From the airport Take I-4 South to exit 68 Lake Buena vista exit. Take a right and then make a left on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Buena Vista Resort/Best Western is the first hotel on the right.
From what locals have told us and our own experience you definitely do not want to be trying to get to the hotel from I-4 in the morning. (can be very congested).
For hotel reservations call 800.348.3765. The first night and tax will be charged to the individual's credit card upon booking. Individual rooms cancelled within three days of arrival will forfeit those charges. The group rate of $99/ night will be in effect 3 days prior to and 3 days following the contracted group dates January 12-14th, based on availability.
The Standard Room, $99 is two beds. In addition there is a $6.95 daily resort fee. For an additional $20 a night you can upgrade to a larger room, King and queen sofa sleeper or two queens and double sofa sleeper.
In addition you can pay an upgrade if you would like to guarantee a room with the best Disney views (fireworks at night.)
The hotel is rated 3 of 5 stars on Trip Advisory website. Normally the hotels we use would be 3.5 or greater. When we stayed there, we stayed in a standard room and it was very nice. Many of the reasons the hotel is rated 3.0 have been addressed and by the time of our event, each room will have new carpet and new wallpaper. The hotel like many Disney hotels is heavily trafficked and of course caters to families. We loved it, but if you have very high standards, you may want to pay a higher rate at the Doubletree Suites or the Hilton which are within walking distance.
