Al Newell

Al Newell

Co-founder

Al co-founded Newell and Associates with his wife Wendy in 1992. Al is the author of High Impact Volunteer Ministry Development. He started Compassion International’s National Volunteer Network and Compassion Sunday. Al has partnered with Operation Christmas Child in developing High Impact in the U.S., and across the globe. By God’s amazing grace, leaders from over 100 countries have implemented High Impact. A graduate and former adjunct at Denver seminary, Al taught High Impact as a requirement for M.A. in leadership. His Clientele ranges from worldwide organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Prison Fellowship, Precept Ministries Int’l, Family Life and large and local churches.

Wendy Newell

Wendy Newell

Co-founder

Wendy co-founded Newell and Associates: High Impact Volunteer Ministry Development with her husband Al in 1992. Wendy has directed operations for ANA since its inception. A consultant and trainer, Wendy has led the Executive Course in Volunteer Ministry Development in the US and in many parts of the world including Australia and the UK. Recently Wendy led training in Amsterdam for 72 leaders from thirty different ministries from eighteen countries. Her clientele include: OMF UK, OCC Australia, OCC UK and Geschenke der Hoffnung (OCC Germany). Wendy developed High Impact teams as a Worship Leader for many years. She studied at both Univ of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Colorado, Col. Springs.

Wendy and Al have been married for 35 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren. Their daughter Amy went to be with Jesus in 2011. They reside in Charlotte, NC.

Becky Coleman

Consultant and Trainer

Becky joined the Newell and Associates team in April 2007 as a consultant and trainer. Her clientele include: Billy Graham Search for Jesus Internet Evangelism, Precept Ministries International, BG My HOPE and Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM). Before Joining ANA, Becky served at Open Door Ministries in Denver, Colorado where she started and developed a before and after school program for at-risk kids in one of Denver’s most challenging areas. As aS.A.Y. Yes Director (a division of CRU), Becky developed an effective tutoring ministry. Becky served as a primary team member in developing S.A.Y. Yes volunteer training curriculum that is used nationally. Becky served as the outsourced Director of Volunteer ministries for two years transforming KARM’s approach to volunteer ministry. A graduate of Colorado Christian University, she and her husband Jared live in Charlotte with their three children.

Jamie Rademacher

Jamie joins the Newell and Associates team with more than 13 years of volunteer management experience. Most recently, Jamie served as the Volunteer Manager at one of Newell and Associates’ longest standing clients, Samaritan’s Purse / Operation Christmas Child. While there Jamie had the opportunity to be a part of growing a highly effective volunteer program from approximately 2,500 volunteers to nearly 8,000 committed ministry partners in more than 300 teams across the country. Jamie had the privilege of leading the team responsible for developing national training resources and strategies, many of which are now being used across the globe. Prior to her time at Operation Christmas Child, Jamie served with the Central Florida Council Boy Scouts of America supporting in-school programs, scouting programs in inner-city areas, and serving with volunteer leaders to provide quality scouting programs to young men and boys. Jamie is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. She, her husband Chris. son Zachary and daughter Allison split time between Knoxville, TN and Des Moines, IA where their family owns a campground.

John Holden

John Holden

Consultant and Trainer

John joins the Newell and Associates team with more than 13 years of volunteer management experience. Most recently John has served with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as an Area Director overseeing 125 volunteer leaders in a 4-county area. While with FCA John was able to see the ministry grow from 17 to 28 active FCA Campus programs. Prior to that John served as the International Volunteer Relations Manager at Operation Christmas Child / Samaritan’s Purse. While there John was a key catalyst in growing a highly effective volunteer ministry from approximately 150 volunteer teams to over 400 national and regional teams in over 100 countries. John had the privilege of leading a specialized team in volunteer management who, together with Newell & Associates, developed global training resources and strategies made available in various languages. In 2014 John completed a MA in Evangelism & Leadership at Wheaton College. John is married with three children.
